A simple bedouin tented structure, the main area is romantically set beneath the boughs of the sausage trees. Housing both the lounging and dining spaces, it’s an inviting environment for mingling with other travellers and swapping safari stories. Throughout, there is a twist of African elegance and chic patterns and colours are tastefully woven into the neutral khakis. At one end is the dining table, surrounded by chairs and next to a well-stocked coffee station. Outside, there are plenty of foldout director’s chairs for midday relaxation and off to one side is the campfire, a communal spot for a customary aperitif in the evening.
The six large canvas tents are spread out in a linear pattern, away from the central camp. Internally there is an elegant minimalism, with mesh windows, hand woven carpets and a double or twin beds with soft linen. The en-suite bathroom comes with bucket showers, plenty of hot water and an eco-flush toilet.
