This friendly guesthouse, with superb facilities, is located in the leafy suburb of Klein Windhoek, just 45 mins drive from the international airport. A former family home, it has been renovated into a contemporary, eleven-roomed guesthouse, complete with a large shaded terrace, open-plan kitchen, small plunge pool and a wellness treatment room. It shares the same views of the olive grove and city skyline, as its neighbour, the Olive Exclusive. The food and wine list are fantastic, especially for a property of this size and price range. The staff are attentive and welcoming, providing a warm start to your Namibian adventure.

In addition to the friendly kitchen, there's also a cosy lounge with a brick fireplace and large courtyard with lots of spots to curl up with a book. There's also a small plunge pool should you wish to cool down and small sun lounge. The dining tables tend to get pushed together or shared as guests inevitably start to mix in this relaxed environment. There is a laptop for guests use as well to stay in touch.
There are eleven en-suite bedrooms at Olive Grove with wrought iron furniture, thick mattresses and cane basket drawers. And they all open onto an expansive veranda. The five Standard Rooms are all on the ground floor, with five Luxury Rooms being up a level on the first floor, slightly away from the main areas. There is one Executive Room which has a large sitting room area to sleep children on a put-up bed. The rooms are neutrally decorated with a minimalist, modern flair and special touches from Morocco.
The staff will happily organise day tours or local dining reservations for you in and around Windhoek. The main in-house activity offered is relaxation, if you need a helping hand, the wellness treatment room is the spot for a rejuvenating massage.
The cuisine and wine list are fantastic and, with the Grove's open-plan kitchen, you can chat and get a few tips from the chefs as they cook.
Plump for a luxury room, set apart from the rest of the hotel, as some rooms can feel a little in the middle of things.
The hotel is a 20-minute walk from the centre of Windhoek so quick trips out or easy strolls aren't a focus.
