About Palm Beach Resort

Sunlit days in, upon and beside the water await at Palm Beach on the island of Nosy Be.
Off the coast of Madagascar, Nosy Be plays host to some of the finest beaches in the country. Sitting along the golden sands of the Bay of Ambondrona, Palm Beach resort has all the trademarks of an island getaway, complete with indulgent spa, thatched loungers and a bevy of on-the-water activities to partake in. If you can part with the infinity pool for a while, there is kayaking down the coast, surfing, island-hopping and snorkelling with the incredible marine life. And when you return, there are cocktails at the aptly-named Escape Bar as the sun sets in a blaze of colour.

Property details

The property

Palm Beach has a wonderfully breezy and tropical style, with natural elements scattered throughout and open-air spaces to relax in. The main restaurant enjoys an intimate setting and serves a variety of Italian cuisine and seafood, while another offers tasty Asian fusion. Take a stroll through the palm-studded gardens, criss-crossed by a series of channels running between the rooms, or watch the waves from the beachside infinity pool. For a little pampering, the Mango Spa does it all including soaks in the hydrotherapy pool.

The rooms

Drawing from the scene before it, the rooms at Palm Beach are splashed with blue, red or sandy hues, complimented by gorgeous artwork featuring natural motifs. The options range from superior rooms to private bungalows (with a sea or garden views). Each room is equipped with a queen or king-size bed, sitting area, TV and air-con, while the bungalows boast a hot tub on the deck. You could easily while away the hours watching the sea lap against the shore.

Activities

The resort is in a wonderful location for enjoying many of Nosy Be's highlights - on and off-shore! Take to the water in the vessel of your choice, or snorkel below the surface to spy turtles, dolphins and, in the right season, whale sharks. Head inland to Lokobe National Park to see Madagascar's curious wildlife, or explore other islands in the archipelago, whether it's the lemurs on Nosy Komba or diving the the coral reefs off Nosy Tsarabanjina.

Why we love it

The beachside setting is picture-perfect and there's no end to the ways there are to take it all in.

Insiders Tip

If you're staying over a weekend, look out for a performance of local dancing and music in the evenings.

Something to think about

While the gardens are lush and beautiful, we'd definitely opt for a sea-view room.
