The resort's design is breezy and tropical with plenty of Asian influences. In fact, the flagship restaurant, Sala, is entirely hand-carved in the image of a Thai garden house and serves mouth-watering cuisine! For lunches and dinners, dine in the 'marketplace' with its six sizzling open kitchens, in an open-air courtyard accompanied by Bedouin musicians, or at the Beach House with its wonderful views of the House Reef. On lazier afternoons, enjoy strolls along the promenade, tea in the bright Azure Lounge, or a dreamy massage at the spa (or all three).
Favouring the natural beauty outside, the rooms are simply but tastefully done. The colour palette is in neutral, sandy tones, the King-sized beds are topped with soft Egyptian cotton, and the large bathrooms are perfect for pampering, featuring walk-in showers and Dead Sea mineral toiletries. Each room has a balcony with scenic views of the Red Sea, but the sizes vary with the largest being the double-storey Royal Villa, which has an indoor and alfresco dining area, full kitchen and resident chef, and a sunken Jacuzzi.
Sharm El Sheikh is famed for its incredible diving, from underwater coral gardens to mysterious shipwrecks. If you don't fancy venturing too far, enjoy snorkelling round the resort's House Reef. With the Sinai Desert laid out behind you, there are sunset camel rides to Bedouin camps, quad bike excursions, and hikes up its legendary mountains too. There are also full-day safaris to see the Saint Catherine Monastery, which houses the best collection of early mosaics in the world, as well as hikes into the shimmering Coloured Canyon.
Clear waters, marine life to rival Finding Nemo, and a good dose of sun and sand too.
