A breakfast of fruit, freshly-squeezed juices, pastries and eggs made to order is served on the sunny terrace where hummingbirds will flit in and out of view. In the evenings, enjoy a selection of drinks and snacks in the garden. Inside, the sitting room and library are decorated with Colombian prints and pottery.
There are 13 rooms, each named after a place visited and loved by the owners, and decorated accordingly. The Provence room is accented with shades of lavender, whilst the India rooms are draped in vivid textiles. Features vary from room to room but can include private hot tubs, terraces strung with hammocks, and large bathrooms. Overall, the rooms are light-filled and artfully done with bold design choices accented by chic, minimalist furnishings.
The hotel is within walking distance of a fabulous selection of restaurants, museums and parks, so it's definitely worth taking the time to explore El Poblado. You can also head for central Medellin to enjoy strolls through the botanical garden or ride the metrocable to the lofty Parque Arvi for superb views over the city. Explore Comuna 13 where street art and performances offer insight into the area's storied heritage. Filled with sculptures by Fernando Botero, Botero Plaza is also fantastic for a wander.
