Although billed as a family hotel, Princesse Bora is popular with couples who wish to spend some intimate time together. There's a lovely lounge with deep seating, a well-stocked bar and a games room. Drink cocktails on the pier that stretches into the ocean, and dine well in the restaurant. There's a lap pool with loungers overlooking the ocean and a glorious spa. Wi-fi in the public areas.
Twenty villas are scattered throughout the lodge's tropical gardens, which line the beach. The Comfort Villas are simple with hanging beds and fans to cool you; the Luxury Villas are bigger with lovely wooden furniture and flooring, aircon and a mezzanine floor; and the six new Executive Beach Villas are glass-fronted and huge, with views of the lagoon from the bed or sunken bath or from the extensive terrace area.
Recreational amenities include a lap pool and complimentary bicycles. Swim in the shallow waters, take a short taxi ride to the southern tip of the island and a pirogue to pretty Île aux Nattes, a small island with great swimming and usually empty beaches. Go fishing, explore the shoreline from a kayak or canoe, snorkel or scuba dive the ocean and have some fun waterskiing. Quad bikes can be hired, or you can visit the nearby villages in a tuk-tuk.
