Surrounded by pretty, tropical gardens, Puri Santrian's design was inspired by a royal Balinese compound. Sitting contentedly between two swimming pools, the Beach Club Restaurant is just a few metres from the Indian Ocean; soak up the view as you enjoy the generous breakfast buffet or, later on, their bistro-style menu with its array of Indonesian, Thai and Japanese dishes. Prepared with ingredients fresh from the market, the Mezzanine Asian Kitchen & Bar is the place to enjoy succulent cuisine prepared at the live cooking counter.
The resort has a number of room categories, split between two wings and all designed to provide guests with the utmost comfort. Across the board, the rooms are plush and polished with King-sized beds and small lounge areas. They differ in decor, however, and feature everything from cherry-coloured feature walls to soothing cream colour palettes, patterned rugs and simple chaise longe. Many of the rooms open onto their own balcony and have views over the gardens and beach.
The waters in front of the Puri Santrian are protected by a coral reef making them idyllic for swimming, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. And snorkelling is definitely on the cards too! Begin your day with a morning yoga class on the beachside deck, followed by the watersports of your choice, and a cycle along the coast. Should you choose to leave the beach behind for a little while, pay a visit to one of Bali's oldest temples or meander through the spectacular orchid garden.
