The main areas are impeccably decorated with squashy leather sofas atop polished floors and white-washed walls showcasing a variety of striking African artefacts; think colonial nostalgia combined with modern elegance and you’ve hit the nail on the head. For relaxing, there’s the main lounge and dining room, a cosy bar, library and the best of them all, a huge decked terrace and swimming pool, perfectly placed to overlook the nearby waterhole (G&T optional).

With 25 suites, Bush Lodge is larger than other properties in the area but still manages to remain intimate, charming and friendly. The air-conditioned suites are enormous with beautiful views of the endless bush and all have been expertly spaced for total privacy. Game drives depart daily in the morning and afternoon, and often last into the night.
