There are two spacious sun decks, with a small but lovely pool, plenty of loungers, and airy, linen cabanas. Next door is the alfresco bar area for evening cocktails under the stars. There is also a bright lounge decorated in shades of blue, spangly mirrors and cream rugs, where you can enjoy a little down time, or a book from the library. Dinner is prepared by Sanctuary's award-winning chefs, accompanied by Egyptian wines and local beer. You could even learn a few tricks of the trade with a cooking lesson.
Styled in the Sanctuary's quintessential blue, there are 32 cabins and suites with textiles and furnishings that blend East and West. Each room has a view of the Nile as you glide across the water, and the bathrooms are well-appointed and neat. The suites have a large sitting area dotted with ornate, gold lamps and the Presidential Suites feature a private balcony and king-sized bed suspended on a platform with delicate (but sturdy!) cables. Other amenities include a mini bar and TV.
Departing from Aswan or Luxor, you'll sail the River Nile, stopping for day trips to see some of Egypt's most famous and incredible sights. You'll visit the Valley of the Kings, where Tutankhamun tomb was discovered, and see the stoic Colossi of Memnon, which are said to sing at dawn. Disembark at islands along the way and visit the Philae Temple, Lord Kitchener's impressive botanical gardens, and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Egypt is the world's oldest tourist destination and seeing it up-close from the deck of the Sanctuary is unforgettable.
Fill your sails, float down the world’s most majestic river and let the sights of Egypt come alive.
