Elegance runs like a fine thread throughout Shangri-La. Starting in the restaurants, Piacere serves Italian cuisine prepared with seasonal Japanese ingredients beneath a trio of intricate chandeliers, whilst the more casual Nadaman serves a range of local dishes including sushi, teppanyaki and kaiseki-style meals. The Lobby Lounge offers a rather splendid setting for afternoon tea or aperitifs - give the Shangri-La Martini a try! - and at the Tibetan-inspired Chi Spa you’ll find an array of pampering treatments to enjoy. There is also a gym and heated pool on the 29th floor.
There are a total of 200 rooms, each rising in height and levels of luxury and splashed with Shangri-La's signature scarlet hue. The Presidential Suite is the most luxe with views of the Imperial Gardens and Mount Fuji, but all enjoy a view of the city through expansive windows. Huge, King-size beds, pillow menus and 300 thread count linens ensure an exquisite night’s sleep and in the open-plan bathrooms, deep marble tubs, rainfall shower sand double vanities. The shutters can also be closed for added privacy.
With Tokyo Station just minutes away, Shangri-La has a location worth boasting about. Get to know the city as you explore its blaring, neon streets from Harajuku's imaginative fashion scene to iconic sights like the Tokyo Tower. Then, swap modern-day Tokyo for parks filled with cherry blossoms and bonsai trees, admire the Imperial Palace, and visit the numerous beautiful shrines dotted around the city. A bamboozlement of the senses, the Tsukiji Market is also well worth a visit, followed up by a lesson in sushi making.
Dive headfirst into the animated & energetic streets of the world's most populous city.
