Polished yet breezy, the lodge is centred around its Lookout Tower, which is furnished with plush couches and the perfect for a cup of Shongwe's house blend coffee. Spacious canvas covers the 'Khlangana' (place of gathering), an open dining and lounge area with cosy lighting, and a unique, hexagonal bar. Out front, the curved infinity pool is a cooling oasis on hot days and the boma is the perfect place for an evening of stories and tasty food round a crackling fire.
Amidst a grove of teak trees, alive with paradise flycatchers and trumpeter hornbills, there are 23 rooms with varying amenities. The studios are furnished with twin beds under a single, curtained canopy and an open-plan bathroom with a mosaic-tiled shower. Designed with natural motifs on the textiles and artwork, the deluxe and executive rooms enjoy a large bathtubs and dressing tables. The executive rooms are the only accommodation in the main house and open onto a sunny veranda.
Discover just how superlative the Victoria Falls are, whether you're gazing down at them from the top of the gorge or from the decks of a river boat (keep your eyes peeled for the most surreal rainbow you've ever seen). Adventure junkies will get their kicks with bungee jumping, white water rafting or helicopter flights. There is also a menagerie of wildlife drawn to spot on game drives or bush walks, from African painted dog to endangered black rhino (and the rest of the Big Five).
