The dining and bar area sits on a raised Teak platform under canvas. It has an airy, open-plan feel, with sleek modern furniture in pale wooden tones, opulent dark fabrics, and thick woven carpets. The combination of rich, earthy tones - off-white, soft mushroom and warm browns - mirrors the natural hues of the surrounding bush. The lounge, with sumptuous couches, deep armchairs and a selection of reading books, has spectacular views across the Serengeti.
Eight spacious tents sit on raised Teak platforms, each sleeping two, as well as a family tent which sleeps six. Furnishings are a blend of classic 'under-canvas' style and contemporary chic: think swathes of pale canvas, textured natural fibres underfoot, scattered rawhide rugs, vintage leather and brass fastenings, and chunky modern furniture with beautiful African-inspired fabrics. All tents have en-suite bathrooms with hot running water, flush toilets, double basins, a shower, and a private veranda.
This part of the Serengeti is renowned for its high density of predators, with huge prides of lion supported by the ecosystem, leopards hiding out in trees, cheetah roaming the plains, and the ever-present spotted hyena. Daily game drives provide spectacular wildlife encounters, with one of the highlights being the Hippo Pool close to the camp, where more than a hundred of these giants congregate to wallow! Hot air balloon trips give a magical bird's eye view of the plains.
