About Six Senses Ninh Van Bay

Sweet seclusion and wild views beside an idyllic and almost untouched bay.
Off the lapis waters of the East Vietnam Sea lies a crescent of sugary sand and greener-than-green jungle. Cloistered by a backdrop of sky-brushing mountains is the Six Senses resort, where your villa feels like the only one on a deserted island and butlers are poised to organise picnics on private beaches or boutique dinners in the Wine Cave. While away your time snorkelling through cool waters or losing track of time on a trek through the jungle, which just happens to be home to the rare black-shanked douc langur. That is, if you can pull yourself from the private pool that comes with every villa!

Property details

The property

For every type of view at Six Senses, there is a cushioned place to sit and enjoy it. Try a chilled lychee soup at the airy bayview pavilion, kick your shoes off by the crystaline pool while sipping on a cocktail or dine in style on the cliffside deck, which serves the finest South East Asian cuisine. Apertifs are taken care of at 'No Rush Hour', you can find a new read in one of the hidden book nooks or simply sit back in a catamaran bed and watch a movie on the beach.

The rooms

Crafted from sustainable materials, the treehouse-style villas are a mix of eye-pleasing simplicity and luxury amenities. Large beds are topped with a wring of netting and the bathrooms are a rustic delight with hand-crafted wooden bathtubs. A spacious deck leads to a stone infinity pool with a view of the Nha Trang mountains or the dazzling sea. Some villas have a private wine cellar, mattress-thick day beds and direct access to the beach, while the reserves have three bedrooms, a dining area and cinema. The Rock Retreat is a set of pavilions in a private bay with a large pool, scenic dining sala and its own spa suite!

Activities

There's natural beauty in every direction so why not meander by kayak along the coast and stop to snorkel round the coral formations, or watch the sun sink below the horizon as you toast with sparkling wine. There are a number of trails to explore and the brave among you can venture to the top of Heo Mountain. Spend as much time on the sea as you can with waterskiing or Hobie Cat sailing, and there are cooking classes to follow with the reward of a hearty lunch (made by you).

Why we love it

Why we love it

The spa is especially romantic, nestled in a secluded spot amongst the trees. A pathway of stepping stones lead across a lotus pond to open-air pavilions where coconut milk baths and green coffee massages sooth your cares away.
Insiders tip

Insiders Tip

Some villas are tucked away on the hillside and others are cleverly perched on the rocks right by the surf - and have a stairway to the sea. So, choose wisely!
Something to think about

Something to think about

The resort is not the most accessible with lots of steep steps and walkways.
