Diria has a platter of restaurants to pick from, whether you're in the mood for wood-fired pizzas and Italian gelato, or authentic Mexican cuisine at the festive Ay Carambi!, lobster and cocktails, or an intimate dinner on the beach. Across the Sunset, Tropicana and Family areas, there are a number of pools with cabanas to spend the day in, and there's plenty for kids to enjoy with a kids club, pool and playground. Adults may enjoy some added R&R with a massage at the spa, or a spot of live music at the amphitheatre.
Across the property, the rooms have a bright, modern style with sunny colours, plenty of natural light and simple furnishings. The Sunset rooms are the closest to the beach (although some don't have an ocean view), while the Tropicana rooms have access to a secluded pool and bar. Most rooms have a private balcony (with fans out and inside), and the ones at the top end have a Jacuzzi as well. Rooms in the Family area are close to the 'lagoon' pool and pretty gardens.
Tamarindo happens to be one of the best surfing spots in the world, whether you're a total beginner or a pro. Then again, you might prefer to go diving off the famous Catalinas Islands, or sail into the sunset in search of clandestine beaches and quiet coves. Back on land, there are horseback rides into the mountains and forests of Guanacaste to enjoy, as well as ATV adventures and ziplining. River tubing is on offer at the stunning Victoria's Waterfall - or simply float amongst the mangroves as birdlife flutters overhead. The choice is yours...
