TRC prides itself on its authentic jungle experience, which is reflected in the architecture style. All common spaces are built maloca-style from local materials and open to interact with the surrounding forest. There’s a dining room, where all meals are served buffet style, a bar, and long porches adorned with hammocks for the ultimate in relaxation at any time of day. The lodge also boasts over 300 metres of elevated walkways; situated between the jungle floor and the canopy, they are at the perfect height for spotting surrounding wildlife.
The design of the 24 rooms melds luxury, style and nature. As part of the experience, rooms have one open wall facing the rainforest - you’ll feel like you’re sleeping in the trees, serenaded by natural sounds. Ranging from superior to deluxe suites, the four room options all have mosquito nets over each bed, private bathrooms with hot showers, and eco-friendly toiletries. Most importantly, all offer easy comfort for a proper rest and recharge after a busy day.
The jungle is all about exploring and TRC is the perfect platform from which to do it! The lodge offers an assortment of fantastic activities, including hikes to certain areas of the forest to observe different flora and fauna, a night hike for spotting some of the jungle’s more elusive creatures, dawn bird watching excursions and a sunset river cruise. You’ll also get to visit one (or both) of the most important macaw clay licks in the region and attend the night lectures given by the knowledgeable staff and onsite researchers.
