Tau Game Lodge

The central lodge area flows over two levels beneath vaulted thatched ceilings, with a huge lounge, bar and dining room. Outside, there's an open air viewing deck overlooking the waterhole, and a swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers for wildlife-watching as you relax. There’s also a well-stocked curio shop, and beautiful spa and wellness centre. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style in the dining room or out on the veranda next to the pool, with lavish boma dinners under the stars or in the thatched boma alongside the main lodge.

Each of the thirty luxurious chalets are spread out on either side of the central lodge, with private viewing decks overlooking the waterhole. Each is crafted from natural materials, including thatch roofs and stone floors, with warm earthy tones and beautiful linens.. The larger Deluxe Chalets are perfect for families sharing a room, and the Family Suites have two interleading bedrooms and a lounge. All rooms are en-suite, with outdoor showers, air conditioning and ceiling fans, and are super spacious.

Twice-daily game drives offer the opportunity to see a diverse array of wildlife, with all of the Big Five species present in good numbers, together with cheetah and a thriving population of the rare African wild dog. Birdwatching is equally rewarding, and guided bush walks give an insight into the art of tracking and observing the smaller aspects of the wilderness. A special children’s programme keeps young adventurers entertained, leaving parents to hop to the spa and wellness centre.... Bliss.
