The main lounge provides comfortable seating where guests can socialise. At the beach lounge, you can have a drink with your feet in the warm sand, and a soft breeze on your skin. The sparkling pool is surrounded by loungers. It is also used for expert dive instruction for beginners. Most meals are served on the main verandah overlooking the ocean but are often moved to the pool deck and beach for a change of scenery.

The accommodation ranges from garden rooms to seafront villas to the underwater room. The seafront villas are spacious, with a centred king size bed and large en-suite bathroom and a secluded terrace facing the ocean. The four superior garden rooms have a terrace with sea-views, and interconnecting doors making them an excellent choice for families. The standard garden rooms are open-plan with a verandah. The extraordinary underwater room is a private floating island with your bedroom below the water surface.

Pemba is renowned as one of the top scuba diving destinations in the world and the scuba diving at Manta Resort is fantastic. There are daily excursions to the reefs for divers and snorkellers, state-of-the-art kayaks perfect for exploring the coastline and fishing, sailing with the locals on their traditional ngalawas and walks into the Ngezi rain forest and to the nearby lighthouse. Or you can just head to the Kipepeo Spa for a blissful massage or treatment and relax!
