The Residence Hotel

The large, lagoon-like pool is a central feature of the resort and is the perfect spot for relaxing. There are three restaurants. They include the Plantation, based in a spectacular oceanfront setting and serving imaginative Creole and international cuisine. The Dining Room is made entirely of wood and overlooks the pool. The Verandah is perfect for light lunches.

There are 163 rooms and suites, some very close to the beach. They are decorated with a blend of simplicity and elegance. The colonial garden and ocean-view rooms have marble bathrooms and luxurious walk-in closets. The junior and senior suites offer elegant dark-wood living areas. Drops of ylang ylang are infused in the rooms every evening to provide subtle, sensual fragrance. A butler is assigned to each room and will unpack luggage, and provide other services.

Activities at The Residence include a variety of water sports such as fishing and diving, and a wide variety of land activities such as golf and horse riding, which can be arranged nearby. The recently refurbished Sanctuary Spa offers a range of holistic treatments, taking its inspiration from "Zen" philosophy. Young children have complimentary access to the Planters Children’s Club.
