Property details

The property

Separate from the villas, The Library or 'club room' is a vaulted-ceiling rotunda painted in ochres and browns to blend in with the rock on which it sits. The inside is warm and inviting with comfortable sofas and a fireplace. Above this, a spectacular open viewing deck with a fire pit and bar is a great communal hangout to take in the surrounds. A gorgeous infinity pool floats above the bush, with comfortable loungers and a gorgeous sail-shaded deck.

The rooms

The four private, fully serviced villas are each unique in their style and layout, but all equally comfortable with clever architecture to maximise the surrounds. The Eyrie, sleeping two, is for the romantics: an exquisite wrap-around room and terrace with panoramic views, rock bathtubs and retro style; The Sultan's House, also sleeping two, is inspired by Lamu: coastal and ornate; The Colonel's house, sleeping four, feels 'Out of Africa,' and the Chief's house, sleeping six, is Afro-chic with commanding views.

Activities

No need to be woken at 5:30 for a game drive; have breakfast at your leisure before heading out on a tailor-made trip. Activities are based entirely on how much, or how little, you want to do, but there's plenty on offer: private game drives and walks, cycling and quad biking, camel safaris, bird-watching, helicopter flips, picnics, Maasai and Samburu community experiences and spa treatments. Spot African wild dog, elephant, zebra, kudu, leopard, cheetah, striped and spotted hyena, and more.
