About The Secret Con Dao Hotel

A cool-as-a-cucumber hotel on Vietnam's most unheard of island oasis.
Add a dash of beach bliss to your Vietnam adventure at The Secret in the Con Dao Archipelago. An uber-wild -and uber-unkown - gem off Vietnam's coast, the island's latest addition provides laidback luxury down to a tee and brims with light-filled spaces from which to enjoy the sea view over a book or colourful cocktail. The hotel mirrors the idyllic coast with its bleached wood interiors and nature-inspired motifs and there's even a giant, woven octopus dangling overhead in the Tropical Cafe! There's tasty grilled seafood to enjoy in town and 16 mostly untouched islets where you can snorkel in the pristine water.

Property details

The property

Set amongst the lush, tropical gardens, there is a large pool with ample sun loungers, and a gorgeous spa in shades of sandy wood for a spot of pampering. In an original villa, the Secret Restaurant serves dishes that are made with farm-to-table ingredients, as well as its famous seafood. In a casual setting, the Spice Kitchen provides a wide menu and breezy terrace, while the Sunset Lounge is the perfect place to grab a cocktail to end the day in true island style.

The rooms

There are a range of rooms and suites, each designed with a bright, unobtrusive palette, plush king-sized beds, and artwork that reflects the wave-washed shores outside. Many rooms have a balcony, while all have tranquil views from the large picture windows and open-plan bathrooms. The suites have additional spacious lounges and the Secret Villa occupies its own private area of the garden, with two rooms decorated with vintage flair and funky art.

Activities

Explore the island and its town, beginning with an eye-opening history lesson at the Museum of Con Dao, before visiting the sole pagoda and wandering through the markets. The beaches, recently dubbed by Lonely Planet as some of the most mysterious in the world, wait to be discovered: take a boat trips across the bay, dive amongst the reefs and wrecks, and spend an afternoon on the golden sands. It's also worth nothing that from June to September, turtles arrive to lay their eggs on Bay Canh Island - time your trip accordingly.

The Secret's tranquil, hidden-from-the-world feel... it's pretty damn dreamy.

If it's a romantic dinner you're after, head to the Coral Deck, designed to look just like the reefs off Con Dao's coast. Heaven!
