Elephant Safari Lodge is a gracious colonial-style homestead, with classic stonework and mellow thatch throughout the guest areas. Facilities include a library, curio shop and cocktail bar. Comfortable lounges open out across viewing decks, with a swimming pool overlooking the waterhole. Candlelit dinners are served in the dining room, or in the open-air boma for traditional African barbecues. Tented Camp has a swimming pool and outdoor bar overlooking the river, and a Zulu boma for bush dinners under the stars.
The ultra-decadent Elephant Safari Lodge consists of six thatched luxury suites, a king-sized honeymoon retreat, and the vast Suite Imperiale. All have private viewing decks and lavish indoor spaces, en-suite bathrooms and impeccable bush-style décor throughout. Tented Camp has six comfortable standard tents and two family tents, all en-suite, and some with indoor and outdoor showers. Each has a private viewing deck overlooking the Nseleni River, with a swimming pool and bar at the heart of the camp.
Daily game drives and guided bush walks cover open savannas, indigenous forests and rugged hills which support a range of species, including four of the Big Five. The absence of lions means that plains game is abundant. Birdwatching is equally impressive. This historically significant area has a rich indigenous culture which your local guides will be happy to share with you. Between drives, massages, cooking classes and visits to a nearby village to meet a traditional Zulu sangoma are offered.
Ancient battlefields and wild shores merge to create a multi-faceted masterpiece.
