Outside, there's a swimming pool for laid-back afternoons and a fire boma to chase away the chill in the evening. The twenty luxury tents are wonderfully spacious with rich earthy tones in the decor - particular favourites are the handcrafted wooden furniture and beautiful writer’s desk. Otherwise each room comes with double bed, tiled bathroom with shower, flush loo and splashy his and hers washbasins, and a pretty patio with a view.

If you’re interested in a balloon safari over the Mara, then this is the place to do it...
