Located on Orange Street, right in the heart of Cape Town, 15 on Orange couldn't be any closer to the city's trendy shops, restaurants and bars. In fact, it's also pretty close to the city centre museums and markets, vibrant Long Street, and the beautiful Company's Gardens. A big tick, then, for a fantastic location, but what about the hotel itself? Well, we don't think you'll be disappointed - there's a fine-dining restaurant, swimming pool and spa, and 129 Afro-chic bedrooms, with views of the iconic Table Mountain straight from your bed.

It's difficult to imagine, but before the sparkly glass walls and swish marble floors, the hotel's lobby used to be a Dutch Reformed Church. Now, it houses a top-class restaurant called Savour, serving a tasty mixture of international and classic South African dishes, two glitzy bars, a 24-hour gym, a business lounge (as well as plenty of other seating areas) and a cosy library. And if you're looking for the spa or pool - they're on the roof, with awesome views of Table Mountain and the city sprawling beneath.
15 on Orange isn't a small hotel, and there are 129 rooms, as well as twelve penthouse apartments. Some rooms look across the city lights to the harbour and Table Bay, whilst others face the magical mountain (grab one of these if you can!). They're smartly designed with modern furniture, plush carpets and sumptuous double beds, and the bathrooms are even better - spacious showers and funky basin lights, as well as enormous bathtubs to sink into at the end of a long day's exploring.
You could spend a month in Cape Town, and still not have time for everything! There's a different beach or mountain trail for every day of the year, from the iconic Table Mountain and Lion's Head, to the exquisite botanical gardens and the beaches of Cape Point. The vineyards of Constantia, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch are a must, and the city was recently rated as the best food destination in the world (no, not Paris, Toyko or New York) so take your pick from a thousand top restaurants. And in between there's Robben Island, the District 6 Museum and many art galleries and museums. We could go on...
Peeking out of your window at the most extraordinary view of Table Mountain.
Pack comfy shoes - the hotel's location lends itself perfectly for a walking tour of the city, from the District Six museum and the National Arts Gallery just around the corner, to the nearby shops on Kloof and Bree Street.
This is a large hotel with the usual pros and cons that come with staying somewhere a little more commercial.
