About Aqua Mekong Cruise Cambodia

A slick and refined cruise ship, travelling the idyllic waters of Cambodia.
At first glance, the triple-decker ship has the look of a hotel adrift on the Tonle Sap Lake, water rippling like silk at the bow. Dressed in a coat of wood and metal, the Aqua sails takes you past ancient floating villages before embarking on a journey along the Mekong Delta. Along the way, trace the country roads on a bicycle or birdwatch from the comfort of a rooftop lounger - cameras at the ready! Serene interiors create a relaxing place to rest after a busy day packed with activities. Evenings are spent watching a classic at the cinema or enjoying the sunset over a cocktail.

Property details

The property

Set with fine china and crystal, the slinky dining room serves a medley of hearty cuisine including spiced curries and seafood (try the three-sauce sea bass), or more international fare. Enjoy a cuppa in the lounge or cocktails by candlelight at the rooftop bar. For your entertainment, there's foosball in the games room and local films played under the stars. Start your morning with yoga on the observation deck, blissful treatments at the spa or a dip in the pool.

The rooms

Designed to maximise comfort, the cabins feature a California King-sized bed draped in silk, a chaise lounge by the panoramic windows and plenty of closet space. Eight suites open onto a tastefully furnished balcony - a winning spot for your morning cuppa. The en-suite bathrooms are rather sleek with black lacquered walls, a large rainfall shower and dual sinks. If booked, the interconnecting suites are decked out with cosy day beds and a sitting area.

Activities

Your journey begins in the (wet)land of the birds, Tonle Sap Lake, so keep your eyes wide open to spot its rare feathered residents! Discover just how much of life is lived on the water in Cambodia, sailing to the remote floating village of Moat Khla where you'll receive a monk's blessing before exploring the rushing Mekong. Enjoy rural excursions to visit the makers of royal Khmer silverware and take a scenic bike ride to see where traditional krama scarves are made on Silk Island. Disembark in Phnom Penh where history and culture are in no short supply.

The rooftop pool is rather glorious - under stretched white canvas, it's a quiet and cooling spot to soak up the views!

Insiders Tip

The ship has two interconnecting suites, perfect for groups or if you'd like a little extra room to spread out.
Something to think about

Something to think about

The Aqua has more rooms than other boats on the Mekong. You won't feel overcrowded but it loses a few exclusivity points.
