Ngala Safari Lodge’s main areas fall primarily under one thatched roof. An open-sided building, it houses the sitting and dining rooms, a courtyard and an elevated viewing deck overlooking a waterhole. With comfortably upholstered seating scattered in quiet corners throughout the area, private dining tables and interesting African artwork to examine, you're assured of some quiet time between heady game drives. There's also a well-stocked safari shop for memorabilia, a pool surrounded by loungers and a boma for star-lit meals.
There are 20 modest-sized but very comfortable suites at this camp. Built as adjoining cottages, the suites have thatched roofs, tiled floors, unique artworks and large rugs to create an old-style safari atmosphere. Each room has mosquito-netted double or twin beds, air conditioning, a minibar and a contemporary en-suite bathroom with slate tiles, a shower and a deep-sided bath to wash off the dust in luxurious style. View the bush from your private veranda.
Game drives offer the greatest scope for wildlife viewing, both during the day and at night, when the nocturnal species emerge. Bush walks allow an in-depth look at the environment. For something a little different, have a full day safari with a picnic or enjoy a bush dinner in the wilds. Take a guided walking safari or a helicopter flight (extra cost) for a unique perspective and, at the end of the day, pamper yourself with a massage.
