This soothing beach sanctuary tastefully combines luxury with comfortable Mozambican style. The open-sided main area is a stylish 'beach hut' and Dutch designer Edward van Vliet has seamlessly mirrored the resort’s natural surroundings, whilst pops of brightly-coloured fabrics and modern art add a touch of character. The swimming pool looks over the azure ocean beyond and the thatched restaurant, The Reef, offers both indoor and outdoor dining options, with some pretty sublime culinary delights too.
The ten villas each include a relaxed sitting area, bedroom, bathroom and a large outdoor terrace, and all beds are equipped with an award-winning Evening Breeze (a lovely type of gentle air conditioning). Of the 10, five villas overlook the azure ocean, and five are slightly more private, overlooking the lagoon and mangroves. Two villas possess an additional bedroom, suitable for two children or an extra adult. Interiors boast stylish modern and traditional African pieces that pay homage to the natural surroundings - and you'll even enjoy a personal Mozambican host!
Coral Lodge provides visitors with a multitude of activities to choose from. Enjoy dives to unspoiled reefs, seasonal whale watching, snorkelling expeditions, traditional fishing, sunset sailing or even take a dip into northern Mozambique’s local culture with a visit to a local village. Children will love the age-appropriate experiences, like coral puddle explorations and island beach picnics, designed to both entertain and educate. There are also a number of romantic treats for visiting couples to enjoy together.
Every step of the journey is worth it when you arrive in this rugged region, packed full of culture.
