Surrounded by 55 hectares of land, the camp sits on the rim of an extinct volcano. You'll enter through the large Zanzibari doors, and find an intimate lounge with smooth stone floors, high-backed armchairs and a crackling fire. Expansive glass doors lead onto the veranda where a sensational sea view awaits. The kitchen serves a four-course tasting menu of local specialties with a flair, accompanied by South American wines. Before arriving, you'll be asked what food you like or dislike - nothing is left to chance here.
The camp boasts nine luxury tents, all set in an arc on the hillside and raised on stilts. Each is decorated in a classic safari style: think polished wooden floors, cream rugs and three layers of canvas in a design that ensures air-con isn't needed. All have a private deck with a swaying hammock, and beautiful ocean or forest views. Set apart from other tents, the safari suite has space for six guests, and includes a master bedroom, two twins and a playroom. Every tent has multiple electrical sockets for chargers.
No matter the safari you choose, every day is breathtaking. At any moment, you could find yourself diving amongst creatures you've never seen before, learning to surf at Tortuga Bay or hiking through the forest, amongst birdlife of every colour, shape and size. And along the way, keep your eyes peeled for the 'Galapagos 15' or stop for a picnic in the highlands as giant tortoises wander by. Also on offer are are tailored safaris for families with specialist guides, private trips to the Charles Darwin Research Station, and kayaking amongst the mangroves.
