About Galapagos Seaman Journey

A top-of-the-line catamaran with the promise of an unforgettable journey in the Galapagos.
With 19 islands, over 40 islets and dozens of unique ecosystems that have formed over centuries of isolation, The Galapagos Islands are quite simply, extraordinary. So why not explore as far and wide as you can on board the Seaman? With gleaming white exteriors and a twin-hull design, the vessel combines comfort, scenery and style. Itineraries range from three to seven nights, during which you'll have the chance to visit unblemished shores and life-filled waters where iguanas swim and tortoises are larger than life (literally!). And you'll learn about it all from your naturalist guide who's with you every step of the way.

Property details

The property

The vessel's interiors are decorated in soothing tones of cream and ice-blue, with polished teakwood floors and large picture windows throughout. In the elegant dining room, you'll enjoy a range of international and local cuisine - many of the ingredients are grown on their own organic farm and stocked up at the beginning of a journey. The piece de resistance has to be the netted viewing spots on the bow, however - the perfect spot for getting a close-up view of dolphins that often swim beside the catamaran.

The rooms

Designed for the ultimate comfort, the cabins are uncluttered, calm and light. All are around 151 square feet in size with large windows to enjoy the view. The rooms enjoy sizeable cupboards (get fully unpacked!), air-con and Queen or twin beds. The Upper Deck Suites allow for triple occupancy with a sofa bed suitable for a child under twelve years old. The bathrooms are fairly small but well-appointed, and other amenities in the rooms include a dressing table, hair dryer and safe.

Activities

On board, the naturalist guides offer lectures in the lounge where you can brush up on your Galapagos knowledge, and the chef hosts cooking classes. Your itinerary will determine which islands you visit, but there will be ample time for kayaking, hiking volcanic terrain and snorkelling amongst tropical fish, seahorses and sharks. Walk along vermillion-coloured beaches, spot Darwin's birdlife and track tortoises in the highlands. And if you can't decide, book a two-week-long trip and you'll see and do it all!
