The inviting, albeit small, pool is poised for a cool dip, while the spa has a menu of pampering treatments to ease any safari-weary muscles. In true Ugandan fashion, the menus are quirky but delicious! Enjoy a Full No.5 for breakfast and later on, dishes that are a 'little lighter' like goats cheese and red onion on sourdough, 'somehow heavier' like battered bream, or the properly hearty oxtail ragu followed by maple syrup parfait. Eat in the artwork-filled dining room or on the terrace, where you can watch the sunset over a specialty gin.

Set along one of the prettiest stretches of Lake Victoria, Entebbe is a top spot to enjoy a cruise (at dawn or drusk), fish for Nile Perch and enjoy an afternoon of birdwatching in the Mabamba Swamp. If you don't fancy much action, recline in the hotel's shaded garden or catch a favourite film on movie night.
Uganda's second capital is a hassle-free town with pretty gardens and Lake Victoria to explore.
