About Jaya House Angkor Park

A stylish riverside hotel where art, nature & Siem Reap's rich heritage collide.
Jaya House's passions are made very clear from the moment you set foot inside. The interiors are entirely crafted from sustainably-sourced wood and stone, every wall and surface adorned with artwork made by local artists. As Cambodia's very first plastic-free hotel, being green is at the top of Jaya House's priorities, alongside the celebration of the city's thriving arts scene. When you're not admiring the handiwork of the artisans or lazing beside one of the hotel's two pools, Angkor Archaeological Park will be calling your name. The hotel also has a variety of tours on offer to show you a different side to Siem Reap.

Property details

The property

Tror Kuon offers all-day dining, varying from international fare with a local twist to gourmet versions of Cambodian favourites. Breakfasts include a buffet of tropical fruit and homemade baked items as well as eggs to order. Head to the spa for a steam or massage using artisanal oils or enjoy a dip in the pool (there are two!). When the evening rolls around, the rooftop bar offers a mean G&T, which you can sip on a cushy swing

The rooms

Jaya House's rooms and suites are just the right blend of traditional and chic with pillow-top beds draped in quality linens, warm wooden details, and artwork scattered throughout. Most of the bathrooms feature a shower and tub, laundry baskets by Rehash Trash as well as organic toiletries made by a locally-based perfumer. The rooms also enjoy a complimentary mini-bar, selection of herbal teas and Malongo espresso machine. The most luxe offering is the suites, which boast their own plunge pool.

Activities

Set out early to see Angkor wake up with the sunrise, exploring its ancient temples before the crowds arrive, then return in the heat of the afternoon. Learn about the city's history at the museum, enjoy a scenic cycle through the countryside or kayak along the river, then get to know Siem Reap as the locals do with a street food tour. You can also make a day's trip to Phnom Kulen, where you'll hike into the jungle, following the beautiful Spean River.
