The dining at Jetwing Lagoon is top-notch. The Blue Lagoon is casual and open-air and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with your choice of local or international cuisine. Also overlooking the lagoon, Geoffrey's Pavilion offers a delectable selection of eats. Between the two, you'll find the Kalapuwa Bar and Lounge, where you can recline with something chilled. Alternatively, there is a bar beside each pool. The grounds are tranquil, stone pathways leading amongst lily ponds and swaying palms.
The rooms are uniformly decorated in neutral tones, making use of dark wood, terracotta tiles and earth-toned adornments. There are 55 rooms in total with the most high-end being the Bawa and Lagoon Suites, both of which have spacious terraces and dining areas. All the bathrooms embody a similar style of tropical modernism and boast huge tubs, whilst the Lagoon Suites even enjoy a whirlpool tub! Other amenities include a TV, wifi, minibar, aircon and selection of Sri Lankan coffee and tea.
An ideal spot to just be before or after a lengthy flight, you'll likely want to spend plenty of time around one of the two pools. Pull up a lounger and while away a few hours with a drink often in hand. Alternatively, the spa offers a delicious selection of Ayurvedic treatments to soothe any aches or complaints. While swimming isn't allowed at the nearby beach, watersports are available including kayaking on the lagoon. You could also choose to head into Negombo for a wander.
Find your Sri Lankan feet in Negombo, a tranquil beachy spot close to the international airport.
