The lounge and dining area are tucked into the forest along the riverbank, offering astonishing vistas in which hippo, croc and elephant regularly feature. There's a comfortable lounge and a full bar, and a long dining table is set beneath the stars, with views of the Luangwa River. The mood at mealtimes is convivial, the food excellent. The outdoor fireplace is the best place to relax after dinner, sipping a local brew and taking in the night skies.
An intimate camp with just five two-people tents, Three Rivers offers a quiet, personalised experience of South Luangwa. Each tent is spacious, with large screened windows and an ample deck for between-activity wildlife viewing. All are comfortably furnished with double beds and cushy chairs in earthy tones, and en-suite bathrooms with a double basin and toilet and both indoor and outdoor showers. The cherry on top? The private elevated platform with a bed that's ideal for stargazing.
The area occupied by Three Rivers is enormous and there's very little other traffic, so you’ll have the wilderness pretty much to yourself. Guided walks are the focus here, although game drives are available, and your expert guide will do his best to fulfil your wildlife desires. The guides here are top-notch thanks to rigorous local standards and not only are you in their safe hands but their extremely capable eyes, ears and noses will sniff out the big and small wonders of the wilderness. There’s a good chance you’ll spot some iconic mammals, but we suggest that you take things as they come...
