Enjoy a variety of dishes at the restaurant or beneath the stars in the thatched dining area. The camp’s tented spa is another top feature, where you can enjoy the likes of a hot stone massage, milk, cream and honey wrap or the intriguing chocolate body polish. Branching out from the main area, you’ll find rondavels dotted around the gardens, connected by winding paths. The solar-heated pool makes for a welcome addition to the picture, perfect for couples and kids alike.

Built beneath the gaze of Mount Kenya, there’s no shortage of activities on a visit to Kongoni. The Twala Cultural Manyatta provides guided ecotours, a chance to learn about the Maasai culture from the local people or go bird watching with a resident guide.
