The casa has staggering views of the town of Salento, Armenia and the Cocora Valley (where the world's tallest palm grows). Walls of glass are broken by painted magenta eaves and banisters and inside, you'll find an expansive lounge area with vintage-style cream chairs beneath an enormous chandelier, warmed by a crackling fire. The kitchen serves an array of fantastic local and international cuisine including hearty breakfasts.
All exclusively booked, La Casa en las Nubes has four bedrooms including two standard rooms and a Master Suite, which is entirely glass-walled for the ultimate views. The Master Suite also boasts a walk-in closet, large terrace and bubbling hot tub. There's also a private cabin on the property, complete with a kitchenette and dining table. The interiors all have quirky, unique touches and cosy textiles that create a welcoming environment.
If you're feeling active, enjoy hikes into the valley and surrounding hills, or opt for an exciting horseback ride along quiet trails. The birdwatching in the grounds and luscious surrounds is fantastic, but you can enjoy afternoons (or days!) of coffee tasting at one of the many nearby farms. For the really adventurous, head out on a paragliding expedition - and on your return, arrange a massage in the privacy your room.
