Property details

The property

Perched in the stunning Laikipia highlands, Laragai House is a private, family-friendly retreat that blends laid-back luxury with spectacular views. The property is made up of thatched buildings. The main house has a grand drawing room with two fireplaces while the second building has a formal dining room, cosy TV nook and kitchen. Outside, a beautiful swimming pool invites relaxation, while an al fresco dining space is perfect for breakfasts and leisurely lunches. You’ll also find a gym, tennis court and wi-fi throughout.

The rooms

The property has eight serviced bedrooms for private groups of up to 16 guests, all furnished with the very best – large beds, fine linen, en-suite bathrooms. The main house features three master en-suite bedrooms with fireplaces, and a two-bedroom children’s wing, and the second building has two spacious bedrooms (one en-suite and one semi en-suite) and a smaller children’s room. You'll need time to make the most of the place, so it's the perfect place for a longer stay. Children of all ages are welcome.

Activities

See the game from a safari vehicle (eyes peeled for the Big Five), on horseback, on foot, or while pedalling a mountain or e-bike. Visit local villages, take a helicopter ride, play tennis, or enjoy a game of football with the truly wonderful staff (many with terrific ball skills). Alternatively, work out or practise yoga in the gym, enjoy a masssage or just give in to the sunshine and take a post-lunch nap in one of the shady alcoves surrounding the pool.
