The property

Lawhill is set along the polished V&A Waterfront, not far from the Yacht Marina and plenty of places to dine out. The comfortable estate has manicured grounds complete with tropical palms and bridges over the central canal. Dotted between the apartments, you'll find five inviting pools and a gym with top-of-the-range equipment. The estate is well-tended and secure with card-access facilities and a central reception to see to your daily requests.

The rooms

With light, neutral interiors, the apartments at Lawhill come with everything you need. The fully-equipped kitchens have all the mod cons (including washing machine and dishwasher) with a dining area to boot. The spacious lounges have an L-shaped couch, a glass coffee table and open onto the furnished balcony. A selection of the larger apartments come with a plunge pool while the penthouse has a well-sized pool, private lift and gas braai. The en-suite bathrooms have marble counters and a deep bathtub.

Activities

Cape Town needs little introduction but it is a whirlwind of a city with tons to do. Head down to the marina for a boat trip to the famous Seal Island or a sundowner cruise. Take your pick from the city's myriad wine farms, from global names to family-run vineyards. A stroll down Long Street will reveal world-class restaurants, quirky boutiques and art galleries to enjoy. Or take the historic route to the city's museums and monuments.
