Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the gracious old farmhouse, or on the covered main patio overlooking the manicured lawn, with the croquet set at the ready. There's a comfortable guest lounge. Aching muscles after your Kili climb? Visit the spa for a soothing massage.

There are 12 beautiful cottages to choose from, all strewn around the gardens. All are cleverly designed with a fusion of African arts and crafts, and vintage luxury. 10 one-bed cottages offer king-sized beds, a separate lounge with fireplace and an en-suite bathroom with shower and a deep bathtub, and there's also a two-bed and a three-bed cottage, both with the same facilities, just slightly larger in size.

Take a mountain-bike excursion through the plantation, or explore the working farm on an organised tour. Visit the nearby recreation centre to use the swimming pool, tennis or squash courts and fitness centre. If you're keen to explore further afield, the staff will arrange excursions to Arusha, nearby Arusha National Park and Ngurdoto Crater. Or grab a book and a cup of coffee and sit quietly in the garden. Life couldn't be more relaxing.
