About Milaidhoo Island Maldives

Touchdown in this turquoise, coral reef-lined paradise and truly escape the world.
Aah the Maldives, with its crystalline water and every resort on an island of its own. It's here that you'll find Milaidhoo, which sits like a tiny drop of emerald in the Indian Ocean. Dine in the restaurant on the water before heading off to snorkel without a moment's hesitation from a staircase that sinks into the sea. Whether you long for adventurous dives (no need for wet suites here!) or just lazing on the beach, Milaidhoo offers it all in spades. You can even spend a night on the sand - in a canopy bed, of course. There's only one thing not to like...and that's leaving! Milaidhoo Island Maldives is just located 35 minutes from Male International Airport by seaplane.

Property details

The property

Dreamy views are yours to enjoy from every sun lounger and private dining cabana. Tuck into seafood and local cuisine at the Ba’theli restaurant, which can be found just off shore and has a glass floor for watching the fish swim by. Dine with your toes in the sand at the Shoreline Grill where you can watch chefs prepare your meal 'teppanyaki style'. The Compass Bar is right next to the curved infinity pool and serves cocktails to the tunes of live music - it's just the place to watch the sunset! There are four on-the-water spa suites, which offer lovely African-inspired treatments.

The rooms

Set on stilts over the water or on a private corner of the beach, you have the choice of a residence or villa. Bright and understated, each comes with a pool, canopied day bed, a traditional Maldivian swing for lazy mornings on the veranda and spacious bathrooms with almond-shaped tubs. The water rooms are built along a walkway in the shape of a sail and come with stairs leading into the water while the beach rooms enjoy an outdoor shower in a private garden. The residences also have a butler and outdoor cinema on the deck!

Activities

The question to ask is, 'What can't I do?'. Diving is first on the list, which you can do on one of the many nearby reefs where you could see anything from green sea turtles to whale sharks and clouds of colourful fish. You can even enjoy a night dive! There are more water sports than you can throw a life jacket at including kayaking, windsurfing and stand-up paddleboarding. Embark on a sunset cruise where dolphins swim in front of the bow, dine on a private sandbank or see the marine biologists in action.

What you'll love

What you'll love

Milaidhoo Island happens to reside in the UNESCO-recognised Baa Atoll reserve, which is a breeding ground for manta rays and whale sharks. Let's just say, the diving is epic.

Something to think about

If you venture out on a boat trip to nearby islands, you'll need to dress fairly modestly so be sure to pack some items that aren't swimwear.
