The main farmhouse building is light and airy with lots of space and comfy sofas for lounging in the shade, outside a large deck spills onto the surrounding lawn. There is an indoor fire place, and an outdoor fire pit for pre and post dinner drinks and stories. A good-sized lap pool is flanked by sun loungers and umbrellas, the perfect spot to relax with a book.
The eight tented suites are raised on wooden platforms giving an elevated view of the surrounding bush. They offer an authentic safari under canvas experience, with lots of additional luxuries; air conditioning, wifi, hairdryers and plug sockets. The open-plan bathroom has a glass shower cubicle which, when you roll up the canvas sides gives a sense that you are showering outside. Each tent has a large verandah with plenty of space and chairs to sit out and enjoy the view.
The main focus is on self-drives or guided 4x4 drives into the Etosha National Park. During the main season it can get busy on the side of the pan, but the large concentrations of wildlife make it worthwhile, plus you always have the privacy and warm welcome on offer at Mushara Outpost to retreat to.
A safari wonderland, where plentiful waterholes amid the salt pans attract even more plentiful game.
