Naibor Wilderness has its own separate mess and dining tent positioned near the Talek River. A simple space, the central mess tent has a dining table, floor cushions, large patterned rugs undefoot, comfortably cushioned wrought-iron sofas and a small library. In the evening, the camp takes on a romantic feel with pathways lit by hurricane lanterns and the sounds of the bush. Guards are on hand to make sure the creatures don't get too close for comfort.
As the least pricy of the Naibor camps (Naibor and Little Naibor camps are also in the Masai Mara), Naibor Wilderness has the classic safari tent vibe without too much fuss. Comfort and space have not been compromised, though. The three tents may be simply furnished, but the wrought-iron bed is stylish, the linens are top quality, the numerous woven carpets are woollen, and the tents are flooded with light. An en-suite bathroom has a flush toilet and bucket shower.
Twice-a-day game drives are on offer, but for some really great photo ops take a full-day drive, which includes a perfect picnic lunch. You'll find the Big Five here, including increasingly rare rhino. Close by, hot-air ballooning over the grass plains at sunrise can be arranged There's a spa for a day-end massage in your tent, and a good selection of locally made jewellery in the boutique.
