Property details

The property

Architectural flair draws on Nambiti’s sense of space and far-reaching views, with vaulted thatch above wide stretches of natural floors and cool interiors. The lofty glass-enclosed dining and lounge areas provide unimpeded views of the surrounding bushveld and clear night skies. A wraparound deck with shaded sun loungers, bar area and sunken fire pit faces across rolling lawns, down to a waterfall which splashes into the swimming pool below. During winter, cosy indoor fireplaces add warmth and a romantic atmosphere.

The rooms

Eight luxury suites and a secluded honeymoon suite suspended from the ridge of rocky hills overlook the valley, with private decks and roomy open-plan interiors. King-sized four poster beds with mosquito nets, pure cotton linens and African artefacts create an elegant feel, with huge windows for plenty of light and stunning views. Bathrooms are en-suite with indoor showers and oversized stone baths, with an additional outdoor shower in the honeymoon suite for that extra special touch.

Activities

Early morning and late afternoon game drives, plus the opportunity to explore on foot during guided walks, offer quality game viewing across varied terrain which supports a thriving diversity of wildlife and birds. Elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion and leopards are present, with open plains providing good hunting grounds for the resident cheetah population. Fly fishing is dependent on seasonal water levels. Tours of the nearby battlefields, Drakensberg Mountains, and cultural visits are easily arranged.
