Nasikia Mobile moves between two sites in the Serengeti, one in the south, where you can see the new calves, and another on the northern plains, from where you can witness the well-recorded but nevertheless astonishing spectacle of thousands upon thousands of wildebeest hesitating, then surging forward to flail across the croc-infested Mara River. The camp's central area has a lounge tent with a tranquil library and a dining tent for sumptuous bush cuisine created by the camp's chefs.
The camp has eight to 12 safari tents, depending on the season. All are made of heavy-duty canvas, are solar-powered and have been simply yet elegantly furnished in muted colours. Each has an en-suite bathroom with a flush toilet, proper beds and a patio area for relaxing. Shower under the African skies beneath a 20-litre shower bucket put up on a pulley system when needed.
The Great Migration is definitely the star of the show. Watch and film the action on morning and afternoon/evening game drives accompanied by knowledgeable and helpful guides. Stop for a bush lunch or, in the evening, sundowner drinks and nibbles as you watch the sun set over the Serengeti. Enjoy guided bush walks, excellent birding (especially vultures and other raptors), astonishing wildlife encounters and an optional hot-air balloon ride with champagne breakfast.
