About Noka Camp

Epic views and tranquility abound at this clifftop camp with a heart for conservation.
Perched atop terracotta cliffs in the tree-laden heart of Lapalala Game Reserve, the freshly-minted Noka Camp is a haven of conservation. The lodge is 100% solar-powered and has been built on small concrete pads to ensure no marks are left on their piece of the Waterberg. And bonus, this has had no effect on the aesthetics so expect gorgeous interiors and every comfort you could ask for. Noka Camp is bespoke in every sense of the word, and with an award-winning architect at the helm and hand-crafted items from the local community, every corner of the camp is a delight.

Property details

The property

With its billowing canvas roofs and spacious terrace, Noka Camp has a feeling of true lightness while adventure beckons from its far-reaching views of Lapalala. Beneath this breezy exterior, you'll find wildlife-inspired artwork and pockets of rich red and purple furnishings, set against sandy hues that nod to the lodge's wild surroundings. The main lodge area is made up of a dining room, eclectic bar and lounge area as well as a tranquil yoga platform. Every piece of Noka Camp invites nature in and it feels like there's nothing between you and the bushveld.

The rooms

Four tented villas and one family villa are dotted along the clifftop, each featuring ceiling-to-floor glass walls that let in every ounce of light and take advantage of the endless views. Rooms have dual indoor showers with underfloor heating, an outdoor shower, and sunsets have never looked better than watched through the bubbles of your sunken bath. Built into the sandstone, your private heated pool feels like it blends right into the landscape and each room comes with a cosy outdoor lounge. For a starlit night surrounded by the sounds of wildlife, enjoy a sleep-out in the luxurious sky bed.

Activities

Lapalala forms part of the sprawling Waterberg area where wildlife is plentiful and activities fill each day. Head out on a game drive where you could spot anything from elephant to leopard, not to mention over 336 bird species. If you're an adventurer at heart, explore the wilderness on foot or glide past the riverbanks on a water safari. You can even explore the many amazing rock art sites, including cliffs just below the lodge. Back at Noka, take advantage of the fantastic on-site extras including a photo expert and amazing research library. After an action-packed day out in the veld, a relaxing spa treatment in the comfort of your own room is just the ticket.
