An intimate four bedroom private villa filled with atmosphere.
A giant royal palm reaches into the open sky in the courtyard that is the centre of Palm private house, part of the Shela house group. A series of private properties have been converted to holiday accommodation and the Palm sits as the middle ground in their rental portfolio, sleeping up to ten people in a very stylish Swahili inspired house found a mere two minute walk from the main beach in the little village of Shela.

Property details

The property

Designed around an open courtyard with a tall central palm tree the house maximizes light and space. The furnishings are with distinctly homely feel. The white washed walls of the Palm House extend up over three floors of downstairs dining and lounging to sleeping accommodation and rising to a covered rooftop terrace. The intimate dining area is dotted with potted palms set against rich wooden furniture.It leads out into a small tropical garden with slight manicured lawn and open courtyard.

The rooms

The entire property sleeps nine people, with the option of sleeping up to 10 with a surcharge. On the first floor sits two double bedrooms and one triple for the kiddies. The second floor houses one double master bedroom and opens up to two balconies on either side allowing a wonderful flow of air through the room. All the rooms have elegant carved wooden poster beds, beautifully stylish and comfortable and come with ensuite bathrooms and their own private balconies.

Activities

On request you can arrange a variety of activities in and out of the water including snorkelling, windsurfing, bodysurfing, sailing, water sports, dhow cruises, fishing and scuba diving. If you are feeling adventurous you can head into Lamu town proper and arrange your own activities at your leisure.
