About Pandaw Ship

See the Mekong Delta in all its glory aboard this graceful and finely-tuned vessel.
A long-sailing powerhouse on the Mekong Delta, the three-tiered ship takes you on a journey past floating markets and river banks alive with remarkable birdlife. A smooth blend of artisanal teak furniture and polished brass, Pandaw provides a comfortable perch to watch the scenery with bottomless ice creams on the deck. The seasoned crew know these waters like the back of their hands and with the ship's low draught, smaller waterways are explored with ease as your guide tells stories of the area. Whether you spend four days or a fortnight on board, enjoy stops at green-fringed islands and quaint villages where time seems to have paused.

The property

Spend time on the shaded rooftop deck with loungers to lay out on, a breezy lounge and billiards table. Grab a fresh cocktail from the bar as you enjoy the shimmering river views. The restaurant is cosy and intimate with tasty buffet breakfasts and sit-down dinners of mouthwatering Vietnamese cuisine. The spa is small but calming with your choice of massages. Gen up on your Mekong Delta trivia at the library and join the chefs for a lesson in local cookery.

The rooms

With trappings of teak and cool, white drapes, the air-conditioned cabins are functional and uncluttered. French doors open onto the lovely promenade deck to enjoy the best of sunrise and sunset. Below double or twin beds, you'll find cupboard space, and the en-suite bathrooms are kept ship shape and come with signature amenities. The classic style is complete with framed sepia photos, tiny vases of flowers and a complimentary kimono for your stay.

Activities

Each day the Pandaw will drop anchor for an adventure on land or by traditional sampan boat. Meander through groves of bamboo and mangrove to a flourishing orchard, experience the lovely Gao Goin bird sanctuary and watch local artisans at work as they craft pots and baskets. Stop for tea at a village on stilts, browse the dynamic floating markets and take a rickshaw ride through the countryside. There'll also be more than enough time to simply watch the world go by on the great Mekong Delta.
