



Simple parquet flooring and brightly colored walls make up the central reception area where a a large wooden dinner table resides at its heart. Corners are adorned with lots of local arts and crafts and doors open out to an decent sized patio with chairs to lounge onto the gardens. An additional small hut, surrounded by banana and bamboo trees, provides a smaller private space to admire the birds.
Neat as a pin there are six self contained rooms and one family en suite that are housed in a single structure facing out into the beautifully well kept gardens. The beds are basic and comfortably done up and an en-suite solar shower and toilet completes the picture. Each of the rooms has their own small private porch space with comfortable chairs facing out over the garden.It may not be fancy, but for the price this is well worth it.
Fort Portal is a wonderful place to experience a range of activities that the area has to offer. Walking is a must, a guide can be arranged for specialized birding trails or along the foothills of Rwenzori or longer trails to Bundibugyo. Tours of the tea factories in the area or simply get out and explore the neighborhood by foot! Semliki National Park, the Sempaya hot springs and Tooro-Semliki Wildlife Reserve are all close.
The ultimate chimp chill-out and home to no less than 13 species of other primates.
