Extremely comfortable and well appointed, Sayari possesses a modern, edgy feel. The camp has been cleverly split into nine and six tents. There is one dining-cum-lounge area per camp section, ensuring a spacious feel, while a communal fire for the whole camp maintains a social atmosphere. Floor to ceiling windows make the most of the incredible surroundings, and natural hues paint a soothing ambience. Dotted around the camp are unique places to relax, including the spa and a spillway shade seat beside the swimming pool. When you're thirsty, grab a drink at the Serengeti's first solar-powered microbrewery.
Sayari Camp has fifteen stylish en-suite hillside rooms, including an indulgent honeymoon suite. The tents are about as luxurious as they come - we’re not even sure the word tent is appropriate. Built on raised wooden floors, with generous windows and a private veranda, they are well spaced with loads of privacy. Each suite’s spacious bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower and a large egg-shaped bath. Expect everything you could possibly need in a room.
Sayari Camp offers the opportunity to experience the wilderness in a number of ways. Game drives led by friendly, experienced guides will fill you in on the secrets of the bush (they can be photography-focused too). And let's not forget a safari from the basket of a hot air balloon. Dining out in the bush is an experience unbeaten by any restaurant in the world, while cultural visits to the local community will leave you feeling warm and welcomed by the Serengeti's people. When night falls, it's time for stories swapped around the campfire.
Sayari Camp is owned by African Bush Camps who has been dedicated to improving the lives of communities near their camps in Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. Focused on education, empowerment, and conservation, they tackle challenges like unemployment, food scarcity, and wildlife poaching. With a commitment to sustainability, they cover operating costs, ensuring that every guest's stay directly supports their impactful projects, fostering a partnership to preserve Africa's natural heritage. A contribution of $85 per guest, which is included in the nightly rate, goes towards the above goals.
