The camp has been deliberately kept undeveloped, to blend in better with the environment, and to offer guests an undisturbed wilderness experience. The general bush camp area consists of a thatched roof safari style dining and lounge area, a kitchen, and a central African boma which is the perfect spot for guests to relive safari experiences around the fire. Shindzela also has a swimming pool in the camp where guests can relax while overlooking the small watering hole.
Shindzela accommodates just 16 guests in safari tents set on wooden decks under thatch roofs. Each tent is furnished with 2 single beds or 1 queen size bed, fans, a bed-side tables, a chest of drawers and an open-style hanging rail with hangers. They have en-suite bathrooms with showers, flush toilets and hand basins. There are adjustable canvas flaps for windows and mesh to keep the insects out and there are mosquito nets and amenities, as well.
Game viewing activities are conducted in the early mornings and late afternoons. Shindzela offers both game drives and walking safaris. Game drives are conducted in open 4×4 Landrovers, allowing guests maximum visibility for game viewing. Night game drives with a spotlight bring one into contact with nocturnal animals such as genets, African wild cats, porcupines and so forth. Walking safaris take between 2 and 2.5 hours on a trail and a maximum of 8 guests make up a trail.
A collection of private reserves with exceptional wildlife viewing and a delicious selection of lodges.
