Property details

The property

The lodge grows out of the natural environment, wood and exposed stone walls underneath billowing canvas roofs surrounded by a myriad of acacia trees. Large, comfortable couches are dotted around the main area of the lounge flowing down into the bar and dining areas; day beds and loungers inviting you to find a soft space to look out onto the bush. Explore down the pathways to the fire pit and observation deck as the sun sinks into the rolling hills.

The rooms

With nine spacious suites spread out overlooking the river bed and wide, glass windows that drop down at the touch of a button, immersion in the spectacular natural surrounds is encouraged at every view point. Each room equipped with a telescope and outdoor shower to better spot the wildlife right from your private verandah or bathtub. Soft, earthy tones connect you in a very stylish way to the overall feel of a camp with contemporary five star furnishings and amenities.

Activities

Being on the river route for a variety of animals along the northern migration, game viewing is bountiful not only during high season, but a good possibility all year round. Excellent guiding by skilled staff ensures that you are never short of activities like nights drives and guided walks. Elephant herds converge on the nearby water hole in dry season and you can join them from the two swimming pools overlooking the plains.

Pop by the kitchen gardens in the afternoon - the chefs are usually experimenting with something delicious for dinner and they love nothing more than sharing their latest creations. Their homemade chili sauce is legendary.

The wifi might be as slow as a tortoise racing a snail, but when there's a busy waterhole right in front of you, we doubt you'll be checking your emails anyway.
