This mid-sized lodge has a safari character with a difference. Located in the central eastern parts of the Kruger National Park in the Singita Private Concession, it's set on a cliff face overlooking the N’wanetsi River. Enjoy spectacular views of the bush, extravagant luxury and a top-end wellness centre. Like its sister lodges, Singita Lebombo is known for its impressive guiding. Discover the secrets of the wild on foot or from a vehicle and get the chance to come face to face with the Big Five and so much more.

The central guest areas are large, with expansive views of the river and rolling scenery beyond. Built of wood and steel, the buildings have wrap-around, floor-to-ceiling windows, ensuring nothing obscures the view. Cosy lounge areas are dotted around the space, although there's also a larger seating area for guests to mingle. Top-notch meals are served on private tables set beneath fans or under the stars in the magnificent traditional boma. A library, a spa, pool, large cellar, gym, gallery and boutique store are also available.
From the main lodge, a wooden walkway leads to 15 well-spaced suites. Built of wood with floor-to-ceiling windows, the elongated design allows guests to make the most of the views from every angle and every room, even the loo! The bedroom has a large comfortable bed draped with mosquito netting; the bathroom has an indoor and outdoor shower and a large inviting tub; the sitting area has welcoming chairs and views that go on forever. On the private viewing deck, a bed with a mosquito net invites you for afternoon siestas or sleeping out under the stars.
There's no shortage of activities. Take a day or night game drive to view the abundant game; set off on a guided walking safari to investigate nature's smaller treasures and interesting birdlife; or explore on a mountain bike with a guide for an unusual take on the sightings. Visit the Singita cooking school, where members of the local community are trained. Taste wines with the in-house sommelier, pamper yourself at the spa, work out at the gym or simply enjoy the view from your deck.
Singita’s 33,000-acre private concession in the southeastern reaches of South Africa’s Kruger National Park traverses four different eco-zones, which means you can see an incredible diversity of animals and birds, including mega-prides of lion.
If you can, time at least one afternoon to simply stay “home”: claim a lounger by the lap pool or your private deck, order something cold from the bar and watch the river below – this is one of those rare lodges where the architecture and views are just as memorable as the game drives.
Lebombo is unapologetically contemporary, design-led and very open to the elements, so if you prefer a more traditional thatched bush camp (or a gentler price tag), this ultra-slick cliffside eyrie might feel a bit much.
Owned by Singita, this property is committed to sustainability and conservation in Africa. Endorsed by Bioregional, they embed One Planet Living principles into their operations. Singita partners with communities, supports education, and leads wildlife conservation efforts through initiatives like the Grumeti Fund and Singita Lowveld Trust. Their focus on community empowerment and environmental stewardship shapes their vision for a sustainable future. Note: a conservancy fee applies but is not included in the nightly rate.
In the very heart of the Kruger National Park, you’ll find wildlife galore and guides who know the bush like their own backyard.
